Please read these terms before registering or participating. They explain your responsibilities, our moderation authority, and the limits of our responsibility. By registering for or using the forum, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not register or use the forum. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to Idaho Falls Hub and its owners and operators.
For adults in Eastern Idaho.
This forum is intended for people aged 18 or older who live in Eastern Idaho. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding agreement to create an account or participate. Do not create an account for a minor or let a minor use yours. An adults-only policy does not mean sexually explicit content is allowed.
If you believe an account belongs to someone under 18, contact us privately. We may restrict the account and handle associated information as required by law. Do not post the person's age, identification, or other private details publicly.
Speak freely and keep it local.
Different views, honest reviews, and respectful disagreement are welcome. Our administrators aim to be neutral and give members room to speak and be heard. Keep conversations useful to Eastern Idaho; do not threaten, stalk, harass, impersonate, or target people with personal attacks. This is a privately operated platform, and access is subject to these rules.
Share useful information.
Choose a clear topic title and the most relevant category. Share your own experiences honestly, distinguish opinions from facts, check dates and details, and link to original sources when helpful. Do not invent experiences, knowingly publish false accusations, or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or connection to a business.
If you recommend your own business, receive payment or a free product, or have another material connection to a recommendation, disclose it clearly. Do not impersonate an independent customer or conceal promotional activity.
No scams, spam, or illegal content.
Scams, phishing, fraudulent listings, malware, stolen goods, illegal transactions, exploitation, credible threats, and instructions that facilitate criminal activity are prohibited. Do not post sexually explicit material, child sexual abuse or exploitation material, or intimate images shared without consent. Do not solicit illegal services or advertise goods or services you are not legally permitted to offer.
Do not flood discussions with advertisements, repeated links, or unwanted messages. Do not evade account restrictions, probe for security weaknesses without permission, interfere with the service, harvest members' personal information, or use the forum to send unsolicited bulk messages.
Protect people’s privacy.
Do not post private addresses, phone numbers, financial information, identification documents, or other sensitive personal details about someone without permission or another lawful basis. Avoid putting sensitive information in your own posts or images. Public discussions and profiles may appear in search engines, screenshots, and third-party archives; we cannot control copies made by others.
Your account and posts.
Use an email address you can verify, a public username, and a strong password. Keep your login details private and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for your own conduct and submissions. Posting, editing, and removal are subject to account permissions, time limits, and moderation rules.
Removing a post normally hides it from public view; it is not a promise of permanent deletion. Staff may still access hidden content, and moderation records, backups, or legally required records may retain it. Closing an account does not automatically remove all public contributions. Contact us about account closure or a specific removal request.
Your content and permission to display it.
You keep ownership of content you create. Upload only material you own or have permission or another legal right to share, including photos, text, and logos. By submitting it, you grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, back up, format, display, and distribute it as needed to operate and moderate the forum. Service providers may process it for those purposes. This permission is not a transfer of ownership or permission for unrelated commercial reuse.
That permission continues while your contribution remains on the forum, including after account closure, and for copies reasonably retained for backups, security, legal compliance, and dispute handling. It does not override your rights under applicable law or authorize other members to reuse your work outside the forum without permission.
Scams, purchases, jobs, and meetups.
You are responsible for deciding whom to trust and whether to enter a transaction or meet someone. We provide a discussion space. We do not act as a seller, employer, agent, payment processor, escrow service, insurer, or guarantor for member-to-member dealings. An account, listing, recommendation, badge, or moderator's decision to leave a post visible is not an identity check, background check, or endorsement.
Verify identities, business licenses, qualifications, ownership, job offers, prices, and payment terms independently. Inspect items when practical, use payment methods with appropriate protection, and meet in a safe public place. Do not share passwords, verification codes, banking details, or identity documents with strangers. Jobs, services, events, and offers may be inaccurate or fraudulent even if someone appears helpful or established.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Idaho Falls Hub and its owners, operators, administrators, and moderators are not responsible for money lost to another member, undelivered or defective goods, poor services, fake jobs, unsafe meetings, or other harm caused by third parties you encounter through the forum. We do not promise refunds, reimbursement, or compensation for those dealings. This provision is subject to the legal exceptions in the liability section below.
If you suspect a scam, stop sending money, contact your bank or payment provider promptly, preserve relevant messages, and report the account to us. You can also report fraud to the Idaho Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission, or law enforcement. A forum report does not replace a police report or payment dispute.
Information, outside links, and service availability.
Posts, recommendations, listings, and content prepared by staff or with AI may contain errors or become outdated. They are general information, not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Confirm important details with the original source and consult a qualified professional when needed. Links and advertisements do not guarantee the safety, legality, quality, or accuracy of outside sites or offers.
The forum is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free information, complete security, permanent storage, or that every scam or rule violation will be detected. Features or access may change, pause, or end.
Limits of responsibility.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Idaho Falls Hub and its owners, operators, administrators, and moderators disclaim liability for losses resulting from third-party posts or conduct, your dealings with other members, reliance on forum information, outside websites, service interruptions, or loss of content. To that same extent, they will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, business opportunities, or data arising from forum use.
These terms do not exclude or limit liability for our fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. They do not excuse compliance with privacy, security, reporting, removal, or other legal duties. These terms do not make unlawful conduct lawful or prevent you from making a truthful review, reporting wrongdoing, or contacting a regulator or court.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse us for reasonable costs and damages awarded on third-party claims caused by your unlawful submissions, your infringement of others' rights, or your intentional misuse of the forum. This obligation does not cover losses caused by our own conduct or anything the law does not allow us to shift to you.
Moderation and account restrictions.
Idaho Falls Hub is privately operated. Subject to applicable law, administrators may edit, hide, or remove any content, limit posting, lock discussions, suspend or close accounts, and restrict access at their discretion, without advance notice or an explanation. We do not promise equal treatment of every report, an appeal process, or continued access. Legally required notices and procedures still apply.
We may review content after it is posted; we do not promise to review every submission in advance or monitor the forum continuously. Choosing to moderate does not mean we endorse content that remains visible. Moderation discretion does not extend statutory deadlines for valid removal requests.
Report a problem or legal concern.
Use a post's report option for routine moderation concerns. For scams, privacy issues, threats, copyright concerns, or other legal notices, contact Idaho Falls Hub. Include a direct link to the post, a short explanation, and an email where we can reach you. You do not need an account to contact us.
Do not repost harmful content to report it, and do not send copies of illegal images. Provide links and identifying information instead. The forum is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
Request removal of an intimate image.
Intimate photos or videos shared without consent, are prohibited. The person depicted, or someone authorized to act for them, can request removal through our contact form. Begin your message with “Urgent intimate image removal”. Include:
- Your physical or electronic signature; typing your name can serve as an electronic signature.
- The post or image URL and enough detail for us to locate the material.
- A short statement that you have a good-faith belief the image was published without the depicted person's consent, with relevant details.
- Contact information for you or the authorized representative.
For a valid request covered by the TAKE IT DOWN Act, we will remove the depiction as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours after receipt, and make reasonable efforts to identify and remove known identical copies. Do not attach or reupload the image. You may request removal regardless of your age or whether you have a forum account.
Copyright complaints.
Report suspected infringement through our contact form. Begin your message with “Copyright complaint”. Identify the original work and the allegedly infringing post or upload, include your contact information and signature, and explain your authority to act for the rights holder. For a formal copyright notice, include a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law, and a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act.
We may remove or restrict disputed material and terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. A copyright complaint is not a way to remove criticism you dislike. We may share relevant complaint information with the person who posted the material when needed to handle the dispute or comply with law.
Forum privacy.
The forum processes your email address, username, password hash, posts, uploaded files, and information needed for sign-in, security, and moderation, such as IP addresses and connection records. Cookies keep you signed in. Email supports verification, password resets, and notifications you choose. Your account email is not displayed publicly by default. Public posts, images, and profile information are visible to visitors and may be indexed by search engines.
Authorized staff can access account or moderation information according to their permissions. Necessary service providers process data to operate the platform, deliver email, and maintain security and backups. We may preserve or disclose information when legally required, to respond to valid legal process, or when otherwise lawfully necessary to address abuse, protect people, or establish or defend legal rights. We do not promise anonymity or absolute confidentiality.
We retain information as reasonably needed to run the forum, prevent abuse, handle disputes, maintain backups, and meet legal obligations. Hiding a post does not erase all copies. To ask about your information, request correction or deletion, or report an account belonging to a minor, contact us. We may need to verify that a request concerns your account and may retain information where the law permits or requires it. We will provide legally required security-breach notices when applicable.
The main website and outside websites may use different services and cookies. See the main site's information and privacy details for the directory's practices. Tools for limiting access to online material are available, including Apple Screen Time and Google Family Link; they do not change this forum's adults-only rule.
Changes, governing law, and contact.
These terms govern use of the community forum. Idaho law and applicable federal law govern them, without overriding mandatory rights or protections that apply to you. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
We may update these terms and will change the date above. Material changes will receive notice and any further consent required by law; changes are not intended to remove rights retroactively. Please review the current version before participating. Questions about these terms or an account can be sent through our contact page.
